Cauliflower is a vegetable from the cabbage family. Cauliflower is very nutritious and can be eaten raw or cooked. Tummeric improves its flavour.  Cauliflower consists of densley packed white flower buds called curds. The best cauliflowers are white, without discoloration and firm.
Cauliflower is usually broken up before being cooked. Cauliflower is usually boiled but can also be stewed, steamed, fried gratin or even roasted.  Raw cauliflower can be added to salads.
