About mint Edit
Mint (Mentha), is a genus of strongly-scented herbs, some of which are used for flavouring. The term may refer to any of the following plants:
- Spearmint (Mentha spicata)
- Mint sage (Salvia dorrii)
- Brazilian mint (Hyptis crenata)
It can be found either in fresh or dried form. A general rule of thumb is that 1 Tablespoon fresh = 1 teaspoon dried (three times as much fresh as dried).
